Polebridge, a small resort community located in the North West Montana, sits on the northwest edge of Glacier National Park, and is about 35 miles (56 km) northwest of Columbia Falls, Montana.
The town was named after a log bridge that spans the Flathead River and connects the North Fork Road in Glacier National Park to the
Montana Secondary Highway 486, and mainly consists of the Polebridge Mercantile and the Northern Lights Saloon.
It sits at an
elevation of 3,524 feet, and is home to wolf, elk, black and grizzly bear, eagle, mountain lion, deer, and moose.
Polebridge gets about 22 inches of rain each year, and averages around 108 inches of snowfall in the winter.
The sun rises each morning over the majestic peaks of the Livingston Rage, which marks the Continental Divide to the east, and sets over the forested Whitefish Range in the West.
